Born in the Pacific Northwest, Thompson has lived with one foot in the US and another in the UK, where she currently resides. ​

Having had experience as a writing tutor and a mentor, Thompson has been able to work in a variety of genres. She has a published essay with the Noisy Water Review, and is currently on the Carpe Nocturne staff, providing fiction and non-fiction.
