Travel Blog

While traveling has always been something I've loved, I've never really thought that what I do is worth writing about, until recently. Less traveling, and more focused on urban exploring, my new hobby has taken me into some interesting places.

My first experience regarding the art of urban exploring was the Denbigh Asylum, otherwise known as the North Wales Mental Hospital, which closed in 1995. You can read more about this at my designated travel blog, though a more in-depth article will be released soon in Carpe Nocturne.

Since then I have explored places such as Plas Gwynfryn, attempted to get into the TSS Duke of Lancaster (that one is a tough nut, and an unsuccessful mission, I might add), the Pool Parc Asylum in Ruthin (only to get to it in time to watch the beginnings of it being developed into retirement housing), the Marble Church in Bodelwyddan, and Lluesty Hospital in Holywell.

Wales has always been a home away from home for me, having grown up coming here from the States to visit my grandmother. This time around, I'm seeing parts that I hadn't even thought to explore, and by delving into urban exploration, I'm learning parts of its history, and traveling to the lesser known spots in this truly beautiful area.
